Tom Kearns (left) won his first Sciacca Sportsmanship award. His great demeanor during competition, friendship and dedication to the league are just some of the reasons he earned this honor. This kind and gentle giant drives six hours each month from Pittsburgh to compete and spread his warmth and goodwill throughout the league. Tom continues to work hard and improve. The NYTHL’s eighth league date of its eleventh season took place on Saturday May 9, 2026 at Rab’s on Staten Island. It featured ten competitors from four different states and two countries. The day was highlighted by the return of Phil Brancucci who made his season debut. Dave Reid from Ennismore Ontario, Dan Henner from Syracuse, New York and Tom Kearns from Pittsburgh, PA were the road warriors of the month. The 2025-2026 NYTHL season rolled into its seventh league date of the year on Saturday April 18, 2026. It featured nine players from three states who competed in a double round robin totaling sixteen games. Not all players were present, but many of the weaker ones were not in attendance which made for a very competitive day. This was the last league date of the year with playoff’s at the end.
