
Dr. Lou Marinoff completed another day of dominance as he once again dominated play from start to finish at the New York Table Hockey League's 3rd league date. He blew through the double round robin with a 19-0-1 record having been tied only by John Power. That would be a preview of things to come because J.P. also had an impressive day going 16-2-2 during round robin play. Dr. Lou swept his way to the finals with 3-0 series victories over Dave Miller in the quarterfinals and a 3-0 sweep in the semi-finals over a spirited Bob D'Addario. John Power had 3-1 Series victories over Len Mecca in the Quarterfinals and The Vinner in Semi-Final action. The two hottest players of the day were destined to meet and they did in an exciting 4 game Final Series. Dr. Lou won game one with a tightly contested 3-1 victory. J.P. then became the only man to take down Lou, dealing the Dr. his only loss on the day by a score of 6-3. With the series tied Lou then took control when he had to winning 5-3 in game 3. He then capped the day finishing off his 3rd straight league date victory with an impressive 7-3 win to take the series 3 games to 1.
